Ex-Aid fanfic plans once more

I wanted to share what I've got in mind for future additions, since I did recently tease some Gashats.

For starters though let me say this: Styler's next chapter will be written at some point this month and posted in May, and I do wanna work on my Ghost RE: BORN story for Anyu. The way the latter is shaping up right now, it may be similar to Terra's Drive Saga story in that I work in more Foundation X. Dunno if you're sick of that but it's got me pumped~

Onto Ex-Aid. I've been tapping away at the next chapter of that today, which is the debut of Kamen Rider Drift. A Proto Gashat is stolen from Genm Corp, and one of the Gashat developers (a character I made for convenient form introductions in the future) contacts Strat to recover it. Along the way she encounters a strange green motorcycle with an unknown motorcyclist...

This is gonna be the first of my Ex-Aid fanfiction where there's a connected pair of chapters, as the one after it (introducing Drift's Force Adapter form) will be a continuation to what happens there. That's how it ended up anyway. Originally I posted what episodes these take place after, but things can change. I'm most interested in writing this chapter because there's some stuff you learn about Drift that I've kept secret. Also I think in this chapter Strat will be using Drago Knight Hunter Z for story reasons, so hey she gets a temp power boost.

Let's get into the new things I teased though. Kageyama Cycling is basically Strat's equivalent to JuJu Burger, except she not only keeps it, she also uses it as a new Ride Machine - I figured I'd establish that the standard issue white CR motorcycle is really only good for traveling on safe roads, and this is more versatile despite being a bike. If you missed it, it's a reuse of Shakariki Sports' design with an altered helmet and is an homage to Hironobu Kageyama. I tentatively called it Level 4 but it may be higher just because I'm introducing after Mighty Brothers XX - gotta help Strat keep up with everyone else.

Melody Chambara is an interesting one I'm still working out the introduction of, but it's going to be used by a third Rider. Much like how I combined Jet Combat and Gekitotsu Robots (by accident since I like both those game concepts), I decided to actively combine DoReMiFa Beat and Giri Giri Chambara here. Melody being a prefix I spotted in one of the early Genm Corp games in a flashback with Emu. Yes, I pulled that kind of deep cut.

Melody Chambara is a special Gashat though. It's an equivalent to Mighty Brothers XX in its design and the fact that it takes up two slots. The premise of the game is that you start off as a Japanese foot soldier and collect music tokens to rank up and become a powerful shogun as a temporary power-up, so this Rider will break game area items to get music tokens instead of Energy Items. When he does, he closes and reopens the Gamer Driver cover to temporarily level up. It tentatively involves armor appearing and attaching with the helmet design splitting open to reveal a new design underneath. Also, tentatively he is Level 10 (Soldier) and Level 20 (Shogun), with no chibi form. I feel with this series it's a good idea to figure out how to keep other Riders from falling behind. Strat's gonna need a power-up soon enough.

Then there's the Gashat Gear Deka Legend - a Gear equivalent to a Legend Rider Gashat. I've kinda wanted to do something like that in Gaim with Energy Lockseeds but never made way for the opportunity, so here's my chance. There'll be a Rider who only appears in a crossover, and is equivalent to Kamen Rider Fifteen in Gaim... EXCEPT, this time I'm not making it a Foundation X guy - this is a heroic Rider! Imagine that. Maybe it's the start of another organization, who knows. Design-wise I'll be pulling from Para-DX's body type, with the gear on the back. The helmet will have a default form for himself (Kamen Rider Deka), while the back helmet is basically a dome face like Ghost that will display any of the Kuuga-through-Decade Riders' faces on it. Chest design is also more narrow so it has room for 11 different images, either numbers or emblems. Spoilers: The Legend Rider transformations will pull from all existing Gashat Gear transformation sounds, and it may get repetitive. But it sure is much easier to think of stuff for since it's all English.

Last are the Legend Rider Gashats, which may just be their own thing. I dunno yet. Obviously I have talked about how I'd like to do some crossover with powered up versions of dead Riders, and there's some potential fun to be had by making new forms for characters to use in the crossover, but I think for now I'll just... make the Gashats and decide another time if I wanna use them for anything.

With the summer movie potentially involving an alternate ending to the show, I'm wondering if I should play with the idea of making a special that serves as my own ending... but that's quite a bit far away right now. Right now my current plans are still somewhere just past the first quarter of the show, right after Mighty Brothers XX debuts.
