So a long while back, YouTube planned to redesign the Channels. The video they uploaded for this announcement showed what it looked like and would base their decision (as I recall) on how people felt about it.

There were thousands (if not millions?) of comments, most of which were AGAINST it. So you'd figure if nearly everyone hated it, they'd decide not to go with it.

So later on, they decided to make the new Channels something you could just "try out." I put that in quotations because it's a PERMANENT switch. If you tried out the new Channel design, you couldn't switch back. I'd say it's a glitch, but at this point... no. And it seems that if you're a sponsored user, you have no choice.

And now... Now they've just turned it mandatory, which I find completely unnecessary. Even now there seems to be 9-out-of-10 people who hate it. But YouTube has proven that they're not going to care what people like or dislike, they're just doing what every popular site does; Updating themselves so they'll look more "hip." Total BS.

I know people probably find this rant pointless, but I HATE the new Channels. It's supposed to make it easier to browse people's videos, but all it does is make it harder. Especially when they've got tons of videos, and you can't handle the lag.

And I'm not a fan of the "browse videos without leaving the page!" gimmick. I don't care how "convenient" it is, it's annoying when I want to view multiple things at once. On top of that, there's always the 60% chance that my browser crashes from USING the Channels.

Ugh. They were just getting on people's good sides by allowing more copyright content, and now this...
