Seriously, I think they forgot Sonic is the fastest thing alive. He needs a car for this? It better be a flippin fast racing game, then.
Siiigh. Once more, SEGA drifts away from the elements which made Sonic great. I don't even know how to rant about it this time. I'm just gonna stick to the older games now, they actually matter.
OK, I didn't mind the storybook stuff with Knights or Genies or that bit with the Werehog, but Sonic reduced to driving a car? Now that's hitting way, way, way too below the belt of you ask me.
I'll be fair to the game in one sense and negative in another.
The fair side. Since it's not a Sonic game alone but an allstar game for everything Sega, it's not that bad and gives other racers a fair edge against Sonic since he can out run cars (makes more sense then Sonic getting beaten in track on Olympics).
The Negative side, actually putting Sonic's name in the title is degrading, if it was called Sega Superstars like the others then I would be able to accept this more but as Sonic's name is in the title, it's like promoting that he's about driving for speed. I already hate Sonic Drift for this factor and the fact that it's a very poor racing game and why of all Sonic games that I prefer Sonic R.
They did this too with "SONIC'S Ultimate Genesis Collection" but left out Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I'm really sick of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles being released alone, there's little point to it and they are both inferior alone and were meant to be the same game together. With that said all later released should be Sonic 3 & Knuckles alone and IT should have the lock-on for Knuckles in Sonic 2 as THAT game is just a bonus side.
Well, there I went off topic. I'll have to make a final decision when the game comes out later.

That's possible. Though this brings to mind other Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons that focused on something like this, and Sonic raced all by himself. No help what so ever with a car..
