Toku sprite - Gaim (Suika Arms)

Guess what I finally finished? 

Ever since I started making sprites at this scale, I scoffed at the idea of making the mech suit, but... at one point, whether it was boredom or motivation, I decided to give it a try. Then I stopped because it was too much work. Then I picked it up some months later. Then stopped again. And today I was looking for something to work on and ended up finishing it! 

The hardest part about this thing was scale, but I finally managed the right amount of space between parts to fit a character inside. The only bit of cheating here is the fact that the feet are a few pixels lower than they should be in order to make the thighs shorter.

I used the concept art, the official TV-Asahi image and photos of the toy to figure out the detailing on this beast since this sprite scale requires more accurate detail than the chibis. Some annoying loops had to be jumped through to also make the helmet work, with the way that the head crests show up through the top. I pulled it off nicely I think.
